ST. LOUIS – After ending the game on the wrong side of the scoreboard 24 hours previously, the Missouri Baptist men's lacrosse team took the frustration out on Judson University, winning the game 23-9.
Eight different Spartans scored in the game, and were led by Dan Mollett. He drilled seven goals and had one assist. Mike Howle netted three goals and had an assist. Aaron McClintock blasted three goals and led MBU with four assists. Chase Hamernick sniped two goals, while PJ Brueggemann torched the twine for four goals and four assists. Sam Youngblood, Ben Eder, Drake Mossengren, and Griffin Trotter added goals for Missouri Baptist. Trotter had two assists as well.
Freshman James Stillson earned the win in goal, making 15 saves.
Brueggemann led MBU in faceoffs, winning 16-of-21. Eder won 7-of-10 faceoffs and Mossengren won 4-of-5.
The Spartans take on Missouri State in Springfield, Mo. on Friday.
