ST. LOUIS – [BOX SCORE] The Missouri Baptist women's volleyball team defeated Harris-Stowe State University (Mo.) 3-0 (25-10, 25-10, 25-11) on senior night.
The Spartans (27-3, 9-0) remained in control all throughout the match. MBU held Harris-Stowe to negative hitting percentages in all three sets. Missouri Baptist posted a total of 36 kills to the Hornets 13.
Before tonight's match began the eight seniors were honored: Shannon Ally, Hannah Carey, Taylor Cook, Mary Grace Graf, Ally Krus, Haley Pouliezos, Hailey Townsend and Bree Whittington.
As is tradition the seniors played throughout the entire match with the exception of the last three points. The underclassmen were then subbed in to signify that they will be taking on the legacy that these seniors will leave behind.
Carey led the Spartans with nine kills on the night. Graf followed right behind with a new career-high of six kills. Cook aslo recorded five kills of her own.
MBU will hit the road and travel to College of the Ozarks (Mo.) on Oct. 20 and then close out the week against John Brown (Ark.) on Oct. 21.
