ST. LOUIS – [Results] The Missouri Baptist men's tennis team could not find any momentum today, as the Spartans fell to Missouri Valley, 7-2. MBU falls to 5-6 on the season.
Senior Drew Morris earned the lone win in singles play. In the No. 1 slot, he defeated Garcia, 6-4, and 7-6 (3). Morris teamed-up with Quinton Argent in No. 1 doubles, but the duo fell 8-6.
Sean Nanney and Tanner Morris combined to win at No. 3 doubles to win, 8-5.
Argent took the first game at No. 2 singles, but dropped the next two to take the loss.
Freshman Dylan Walker made his debut at No. 5 singles, but dropped a close match, 6-4, 6-4.
The Spartans will host Lindenwood-Belleville on Wednesday, with first serve set to begin at 2:00 pm.
