KNIGHTS DOMINATE SPARTANS IN LOPSIDED DECISION

INDIANAPOLIS – [BOX SCOREMissouri Baptist University Football surrendered 745 total yards of offense on Saturday afternoon in a tough 76-0 loss at the hands of NAIA No. 8-ranked Marian University.

Missouri Baptist (0-4, 0-2 MSFA) struggled from the outset as the Knights showcased its powerful offense. Marian, the 2014 National Championship Runner-Up, displayed a rushing attack that accounted for 443 total yards of offense and seven touchdowns.

Marian quarterback Hayden Northern went 12-16 in the air with 302 yards and four touchdowns.

Billy Ritchie got his first start as a Spartan as three MBU signal callers recorded playing time. Ritchie, Jordan Norwine and Jake Hunt all grabbed snaps on Saturday. It was the first playing time of the season for Hunt, the New Berlin, Ill., native.

Missouri Baptist will try to turn the page in a week's time as they get set for a home showdown on Saturday against Taylor University. Game time is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. and will be played at Westminster Christian Academy. Gates open 90 minutes prior to kickoff.
