ST. LOUIS – [RESULTS] After a quick start, Men's Wrestling held on to defeat Bacone College 26-15 Wednesday night inside the Sports and Recreation Complex.

The Spartans dropped the first bout by decision at 133 before rattling off 19 straight points. Brendan Krask started things off in the right direction with a major decision win. Bryce Bachowski then pinned his opponent in 1:05 and Clayton Wegener won by a 10-7 decision. Jake Mattson completed the rally by pinning his opponent for six more team points.

Missouri Baptist then dropped three of the next four bouts as the score continued to get much closer. Mixed in to that stretch was a 3-1 win by decision for Esteban Rua. That put MBU up 22-12 at the time and the three points proved to be crucial, as the Spartans headed into the final match ahead 22-15.

John Bobeen ensured the Spartan victory with a 12-3 major decision win. The Spartans will be at home again tomorrow night against Central Oklahoma University. The match is set for 7:00 pm.
