Box Score ST. LOUIS- [BOX SCORE] Missouri Baptist Women's Volleyball eased to a three-set victory over St. Louis College of Pharmacy on Monday night (25-13, 25-22, 25-14).
Several fresh faces stepped up in a big way, as the No. 15 ranked Spartans improved to 5-0 in conference play and 16-4 overall.
Amanda Thibodeaux registered a double-double with 13 kills and 14 digs to lead MBU. The freshman from Defiance, Mo. topped off her career night with two service aces.
Thibodeaux's fellow freshman, Kelly Wilson, followed close behind with 11 kills on just 19 attempts (.474 hitting percentage). Sophomore Peyton Yoder was also a key contributor, finishing with 9 kills on 19 attempts (.421 hitting percentage).
Marija Tosic and Mary Krause hit double digits in the digs department, with 10 and 12, respectively.
Darby Santos and Megan Huffman split the assist duties for the night. Santos played the first and third sets and posted 22 assists, while Huffman handled the second set and added 11 assists.
The Spartans will be in action next on Wednesday of this week. They'll visit Lindenwood-Belleville at 7 pm. They return home on Friday for a highly anticipated National Championship rematch with Columbia.
