Box Score 2 ST. LOUIS – The American Midwest Conference announced that Missouri Baptist Women's Volleyball player Megan Huffman earned AMC Setter of the Week honors for her strong efforts last week.

Park University's Wendy Romero earned her second straight Attacker of the Week honor after a stellar performance at the Columbia College Hampton Inn Classic. Missouri Baptist University's Megan Huffman earned the first AMC Setter of the Week honor of her career, and Madisson Williams of Lyon College earned the nod as the Defender of the Week.
Romero, a 6-0 senior outside hitter from Cojedes, Venezuela, bettered her average of kills per set from last week, belting 5.93 scoring shots per set in four matches at the Hampton Inn Classic. The highlight of her weekend came in the Pirates' final match at the tournament. In the match, Park rallied to defeat the NAIA #14 Lourdes University Gray Wolves in four sets. In the match, Romero pounded 35 kills and had 13 digs, as the Pirates completed the weekend with a 3-1 record. She hit .318 on the week as well.
Huffman, a 5-10 freshman from Columbia, Ill., settled into the starting setter role for the Spartans, playing in four of the five matches for Missouri Baptist on the week. She averaged 11.4 assists per set in the Hampton Inn Classic, and 10.9 per set on the week overall, as the Spartans posted a 3-2 record on the week. Her two best performances in the Classic came against the #4 Viterbo (Wis.) V-Hawks and the #14 Gray Wolves, when she had 42 and 45 assists, respectively.
Williams, a 5-2 sophomore libero from Royal, Ark., picked up 96 digs on the week at an average of 6.86 per set. She put up a career best 39 digs against Jarvis Christian (Texas), and she posted at least 20 digs in three of the Scots four matches at the Philander Smith College Tournament over the weekend. The Scots won all four of their matches, winning 12 of the 14 sets they played in the event.

Mallory Dillon - Missouri Baptist University
Mallory continued her impressive season over the weekend at the Hampton Inn Classic at Columbia College. Dillon ranked second in the tournament, behind Wendy Romero, in both kills (73) and kills per set (5.21), and is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation in total kills. Dillon had her two best games (24 kills vs. No. 2-ranked Viterbo and 21 kills vs. No. 14-ranked Lourdes) against the two top opponents the Spartans faced in the tournament.
Stephanie Cathcart - Lindenwood University-Belleville
Cathcart continued to dominate opposing teams this past week as she finished with a team-high 92 kills and totaled 30 blocks. She's reached double-digit kills in the last seven games. Against Bemidji State her 27 kills is a new program record and she was one of the main reasons why the Lady Lynx earned a five set win. The previous kill record was 26 set back in 2013.
Danna Gomes - Park University
Averaged more than 10 assists per set in three of the team's four matches on the week, and against Lourdes, had four aces to go with 45 assists, 35 of which went to All-American Wendy Romero, who posted a career-high for kills. Also had two blocks against the 14th-ranked Grey Wolves.
Brittney Englebrecht - William Woods University
Engelbrecht led the Owls with 230 assists on the week. She recorded 30 or more assists in five of the six matches this week. Engelbrecht dished out a season-high 55 assists against Montana State-Northern on Saturday. The 55 assists in a single match is the second highest total she has ever had in a match and is the second most assists in a four set match for WWU. She also collected 25 kills on the season and 70 digs. She has 387 assists on the season, which is ninth best in the nation.
Daniela Duarte - Park University
Had at least 10 digs in all four of Park's matches on the week, including 21 in a four-set win over Lourdes, better than five per set against the 14th-ranked Grey Wolves to help Wendy Romero to a career-best 35 kills. Also had eight aces, including three against both Saint Francis and Lourdes.
Jessica Jensen - William Woods University
Jensen led the Owls with 105 digs on the week. She collected a season and career high 28 kills against Baker this past week. The freshman has only collected 20 or more digs in a single match twice this year, both happening this past week. Against Culver-Stockton she also recorded two aces. Jensen leads the Owls with 182 digs on the season.
