ST. LOUIS—[BOX SCORE] Women's Volleyball ended conference play at the Petty SRC, taking on the Trojans of Hannibal-LaGrange University (Mo.). The Spartans dominated, sweeping HLGU in three sets, and making it a final home game to remember for departing seniors Marion Couraud, Tina Medanovic, and Rachel Poole.
The match may have begun with a kill from the Trojans, but MBU quickly found their groove and took the lead back. The Spartans rolled through sets one, two and three (25-7, 25-9 and 25-14).
Marion Couraud led the way for the Spartans with 16 kills (.528 hitting percentage), and three service aces. Fellow senior Tina Medanovic (.692) had a total of nine kills, along with Cate Cigarini who finished with a perfect hitting percentage (1.000).
Setter Rachel Poole had a solid performance, as well. She led the Spartans in total assists (40) and digs (11). The senior also had four kills.
Missouri Baptist is back in action on Wednesday, November 1st. The Spartans will take on the Trojans once again, this time in Hannibal, Mo. The first serve is set for 6 pm.
