MBU DROPS MATCH TO NO. 3 KEISER

ST. LOUIS - [BOX SCOREMissouri Baptist Men's Tennis continued the gauntlet of the top teams in the NAIA on Monday and suffered a 9-0 loss at the hands of the No. 3-ranked Keiser (Fla.) Seahawks in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Missouri Baptist (3-2) struggled to find its rhythm against a team that will challenge for the NAIA National Championship Title this spring, but was able to pick-up caluable experience as the team will look to qualify for the Championship for the second consecutive season.

"This is a team that played (No. 1) Georgia Gwinnett closely," said coach Cole Stevenson. "This match goes way beyond the result and was great exposure for our players to see that level first-hand."

Lucas Olivera and Nicoy Rolle played a close No. 2 doubles match against Julian Turosienski and Romani Ugarte, but came just shy of breaking the shutout with an 8-5 loss.

The Spartans will look to Tuesday to snag their first win of the southeast swing as they head to Lakeland, Fla., to take-on Southeastern (Fla.). The Fire are currently receiving votes in the NAIA Top 25. First serve is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. EST.
