ST. LOUIS – [BOX SCORE] Missouri Baptist Men's Tennis completed its regular season on Tuesday with a clean sweep of Principia (Ill.), 9-0. With the win, the Spartans enter the American Midwest Conference/Heart of America Athletics Conference Tournament just a game shy of .500.
Missouri Baptist (6-7, 1-2 AMC/HAAC) is posted wins at every position and did not drop a single set. Lucas Olivera led the team at No. 1 singles with a win over Jules Kitchingman, 6-3 and 6-4, which was the closest match of the day. Ricardo Martin, James Tobin, Sean Nanney, Nicoy Rolle and Jed Flemming all picked-up wins on the day.
The Spartans were dominant in doubles as well. Tobin and Olivera won 8-2 at No. 1, while Nanney and Dylan Walker posted an 8-0 win over Dan Wagstaff and Peter Griswold.
