MBU ROLLS PAST FONTBONNE

ST. LOUIS -- The Spartans got back on track Tuesday April 4th, with a shutout against the Fontbonne Griffins at the Creve Coeur Tennis Center.

In doubles play, Sean Nanney and Dylan Walker defeated Blake Wisniewski and Sebastian Culton 8-4 to start things off. The Spartan win was followed up by a dominant performance by Jed Flemming and Nicoy Rolle, shutting out their opposition 8-0.

The doubles dominance was followed up in a similar fashion in the round of singles. Nicoy Rolle edged out Blake Wieniewski in a close 8-6 victory in the second match, which proved to be the closest contest on the day.

In the ensuing matches, MBU continued to roll. Junior Austin Hale pitched in with an 8-2 victory in set number 3, while Colin Griffin and Ryan Migneron followed suit with victories as well. Griffin won 6-1, 6-0 and Migneron defeated his opponent 6-1, 6-1.

MBU finished the day with a 9-0 overall score against the Griffins and will look to continue this stellar play through the latter half of the season.
