ST. LOUIS—MBU Men's Tennis defeated Lewis and Clark CC on Wednesday afternoon for its first win of the 2018.

The Spartans swept the doubles competition to open play. James Tobin and Ricardo Martin won at No. 1 by a 9-7 margin. Dylan Walker and James Wright came out ahead with an 8-0 shutout at No. 2. Drew Davis and Seth Grady won by default at No. 3.

The home side went on to take five of six singles matches for an 8-1 final. Missouri Baptist improves to 1-4 on the season. They'll take the University of Illinois-Springfield on Friday at 1 pm at the Creve Coeur Racket Club.
