ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Women's Lacrosse team made their way to Belleville, Ill. to take on the Lynx on Thursday. After a hard-fought match, the Spartans came out on top, once again. With this win they extend their winning streak to four.
The Spartans jumped out to a quick lead with goals from
McKenna Fisher and
Katie Pilla. Lindenwood-Belleville attempted to keep up, but MBU remained one step ahead throughout the half.
Grace Adams,
Melina Custer, and
Kimmi Mathews each put up a goal, while
Laura Ebers pushed the Spartan lead with three more goals. MoBap entered the half leading LU-B by six goals.
Out of the half, the Lynx put up one goal before MBU's Fisher fired back with her second. From there, the Lynx gained momentum, and began to push past the Spartan defense. The Lynx managed to sneak five goals past
Kaitlin Mills, nearly catching up to MBU. However, it was not enough, as MBU maintained the lead, and took the game, 10-9.
The Lady Spartans head back home on Wednesday, April 4. They will host Missouri Valley College at 1 pm.
