PARKVILLE, Mo. – Missouri Baptist Men's Soccer fell 2-0 to Park on Saturday afternoon in their final regular season game. The Spartans and Pirates will meet in a rematch next Saturday in the AMC Quarterfinals.
The first half was mostly back and forth with chances at both ends but the match was flipped on its side in the 31
st minute. Spartan center back
Adam Foster was booked for a red card forcing the visitors to play the final hour with 10 men. Park would take advantage 10 minutes later with the opening goal.
Missouri Baptist found it difficult to mount much of an attack. They attempted just three shots on goal after the red card incident. The Pirates would finally seal it with a second goal in the 85
th minute.
The Spartans finish the regular season 10-6-2 overall and 5-5-1 in the AMC. They will be the six seed in the AMC Tournament and will have a rematch in Parkville with the third seed Pirates next Saturday in the Quarterfinal round. Kickoff time is TBD.
