ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Head Coach
Jason Burianek has been selected to represent Missouri Baptist University in the first-ever NAIA Senior Football Classic in Savannah, Georgia. He will join the Tim Mathis' (Cumberland University) squad on the East team as the defensive backs coach.
"I'm proud to be on the sidelines for this game and help these young men realize their opportunities at the next level," said Burianek. His influence was instrumental in a Spartan secondary that was ranked fifth in the NAIA, only allowing 147.6 yards per game.
Being on the East coaching staff does mean he will be coaching against a couple of his players that have been chosen to represent MBU on the field. Seniors
Isaiah King and
Anthony Taele were selected to the West team earlier in the season and will be heading to Savannah to take on their head coach.
The NAIA Senior Classic is set for Saturday, December 14, just one week before the NAIA Football National Championship.
