ST. LOUIS— (RV) Missouri Baptist Baseball (30-14, 17-9 AMC) claimed both games in Saturday's doubleheader with Hannibal-LaGrange (15-29, 6-23 AMC) to reach 30 wins for the 10
th consecutive season. The Spartans took game one 6-5 and had an easier time in game two with a comfortable 10-4 margin. Prior to the game, Missouri Baptist honored this year's class of 14 seniors with a special ceremony.
MBU and HLG will wrap up their three-game series on Monday with a 3 pm first pitch at the Spartan Baseball Field. After Lyon College lost two games to Harris-Stowe on Saturday, the Spartans and Scots are now tied for third in the AMC standings—one game behind Columbia for second with four games remaining in the regular season.

With the wind blowing out, the home runs came fast and furious on Saturday afternoon.
Caleb Dean led off the bottom of the first with his fourth long ball of the year. Justin Bote did the same in the top of the second for the Trojans to tie the game. Aided by two MBU errors, Hannibal would add two more in the frame to take their first lead.
Mason Washington cut the deficit to 3-2 with an RBI single in the third and
Domonique Hernandez tied it with a leadoff homer in the fourth. Two batters after Hernandez,
Drew Brooks took the first pitch he saw and lifted off for the Spartans' third long ball of the day.
The back and forth continued in the fifth. It was Bote again for HLG with his second home run of the day, this one a two-run shot, to give the visitors another lead.
Despite five tough frames on the mound, MBU starter
Austin Worrell went back out for a sixth inning of work and held the Trojans off the board to give the offense an opportunity in the final two frames.
Caleb Dean picked his pitcher up in the bottom of the sixth. The senior's second HR of the day tied the game at five.
After
Manny Pizarro pitched a clean top of the seventh,
Mason Washington led off the bottom half with a base hit.
Michael McGhee walked and a fielder's choice by Hernandez moved
Nick Sailer (pinch running for Washington) over to third. With one out, all
Jonathon Pasillas needed was a fly ball and he gave the Spartans just that. Sailer came across for the game-winning run.
Missouri Baptist 10, Hannibal-LaGrange 4
The second game of the day was not as dramatic as the Spartans pulled away early with a seven-run second inning. A three-run homer by Pasillas got things started with just one out.
Drew Brooks' made it back-to-back with his second shot of the day on a 1-2 count. RBI singles by
Hunter Hill and
Mason Washington would account for the other three runs in the inning.
Josh Ray made the start in game two and didn't allow Hannibal much of anything. Ray struck out 11 and conceded just three hits. The junior was cruising through four frames before allowing two of those hits plus a walk in the fifth. The Trojans managed to score twice before Ray bore down and completed seven innings without another blemish.
Trevor Chaney and
Hayden Crowe combined to close out the final two innings. Offensively,
Drew Brooks led the way with a 3-4 effort. Brooks, Pasillas, and
Anthony Enwiya all went deep in game two. The Spartans totaled seven home runs in the doubleheader.
Caleb Dean joined
Mason Washington and Brooks with another multi-hit game. All of those mentioned above were part of the 14-man senior class.
