ST. LOUIS—Missouri Baptist Men's Soccer took care of business on Wednesday in a 5-0 rout of St. Louis College of Pharmacy at CBC Field. MBU has now six in a row and sports a 7-1-1 overall record (3-0 AMC).
The Spartans bagged four goals in the first half.
Cullen Barr opened the scoring in the 11
th minute.
Seosamh Sheerin delivered a cross to the back post and Barr was there to head it home for his seventh of the season.
Louie Perez kept his hot streak going with two goals in a span of 56 seconds. In the 39
th minute, Perez scored from left corner of the penalty area after a pass from
Brandon Boos. Less than a minute later, Perez blocked a clearance attempt and the ball ricocheted in the Eutectics goal. The fortunate bounce made it 3-0. It was Perez's fifth goal of the year.
Mo. Bap officially put it out of reach just before halftime. Perez was involved again as he played in
Antonio Bussu. Bussu finished off his second of the season and the Spartans went into the break ahead by four.
The Spartans would add one more after halftime via an own goal by STLCOP. The final shot count finished 31-0 with 16 on goal for the home side.
Missouri Baptist returns to action on Saturday with a non-conference tilt against Principia. Kickoff at CBC Field is scheduled for 1 pm.
