MARSHALL, Mo. – MBU Men's Soccer fell 3-0 to the NAIA's seventh-ranked team, Missouri Valley, on Friday afternoon. The Spartans are now 1-2 heading into the start of AMC play next weekend.

Despite the lack of chances though it was still anyone's game as the clock approached 60 minutes. But then through some slick passing, Missouri Valley found a second goal to take the life of out the visitors. They added a third in the 75
th minute in route to a three-goal victory.
The final shot count read 19-4 for the Vikings.
Davide Bucarelli made nine saves in goal for MBU.
"Tough game today," noted MBU Head Coach
Jake Alvernia. "We looked lively and energetic in the first half. In the second half we wanted to raise our level but never found the composure and work rate to match MoVal."
The Spartans will now look forward to AMC competition beginning next Saturday. They'll take on Central Baptist in the home opener with kickoff scheduled for 3 pm. The match will be streamed live on SpartanDigitalNetwork.com.
