The Spartans dipped deeper into the roster in the second set and couldn't quite replicate the momentum from the opening frame. Unfortunately, MBU didn't have an answer and surrendered Set 2 to the Red Lions, 25-15.
With the match tied at one-all and momentum in LCU's favor, No. 4-ranked Missouri Baptist inserted its primary starters into the game, which made a drastic difference. In the final two sets, Missouri Baptist overwhelmed the Red Lions. The Spartans sported a 27-6 advantage in kills, while holding the home team to a negative hitting percentage (-.081).

Joining Stojovic and Tapigliani with at least five kills were
Emma Lattimore (7),

Carlee Wise (5).
The Spartans were quite effective from the service line on Tuesday, recording 13 aces as a team. Besides Tapigliani's four,
