SAINT LOUIS, Mo. – Dillon Witt's week just keeps getting better and better.  Coming off a week with seven wins and a single defeat Witt is being recognized at the American Midwest Conference Wrestler of the Week.
 
Witt took third place in the Grand View University Open over the weekend, which included some of the top teams in the NAIA and a sprinkling of NCAA Division I programs as well.  The native of Sullivan, Mo. started his week off with wins in duals with Quincy and Fontbonne last Tuesday at the Petty SRC. On Saturday he went 5-1 in the Grand View tournament with a significant win over Garrett Funk of the University of Northern Iowa, which is a DI program that wrestles in the Big 12 Conference. His only loss of the week was to Evan Frost of Iowa State University, another member of the Big 12 Conference and the No. 9-ranked team in the country.
 
Dillon will be back in action Tuesday when the Spartans host Westminster College at the Petty SRC.
 
This is the second AMC Wrestler of the Week honor for Witt in his collegiate career.
