Box Score ST. CHARLES, MO. – Men's tennis came up just short against the Hawks of Quincy University on Friday, falling 3-4.
MBU split the singles matches with the Hawks, winning in No. 1, No. 2, and No. 4 singles.
Milos Vuckovic took on Brenden Everhart in the No. 1 singles match. Vuckovic won both sets 6-2 to take the match. In No. 2 singles
Dragan Omcikus swept the sets against Sebastian Gomez winning 6-1, 6-4. In the closet match of the day
Timofey Tokmakov won in three sets at No. 4 singles, defeating Zach Willing. Tokmakov won the first set 6-3, dropped the second 4-6, then won the tightly contested third set 7-6.
In the doubles matches MBU would come up just short of taking the point as Quincy won at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. At No. 2 doubles
Filip Petrovic and
Timofey Tokmakov won 6-2 against Zach Willing and Nicholas Crockens. No. 1 singles ended up being the difference in the match as Vuckovic and Omcikus almost pulled off the victory but ultimately fell 5-7 against Brenden Everhart and Pablo Niella.
