ST. LOUIS – MBU men's tennis got back on track at home over the weekend, defeating John Brown 6-1, and Grand View 4-0.
Several Spartans picked up multiple wins over the weekend as
Timofey Tokmakov and
Filip Petrovic won in both matches. Tokmakov won 7-5, 6-1 against Woody Woodring (John Brown) and 6-1, 6-3 against Rafeal Silva (Grand View). Petrovic defeated Carson Thoma (John Brown) 6-1, 6-1 and Blake Beaune 6-0, 6-0. The duo also went undefeated in doubles over the weekend winning 6-2 against both John Brown and Grand View.
Milos Vuckovic and
Dragan Omcikus both won one and were up during their second match when the matches were called due to MBU securing the team win. Vuckovic won 6-4, 6-4 against Hudson Dick (John Brown) and was up 6-2, 4-1 against Dylan Ramsay when the match was called. Omcikus defeated Logan Wheeler (John Brown) 6-1, 6-2, and was up 7-6 against his opponent from Grand View before the match was called.
Lucas Kzam picked up his first win as a Spartan, defeating Isaac Jordan 6-3, 6-0. Kzam and
Donald Feick also picked up two wins during doubles, 6-4 against John Brown and via default against Grand View.
MBU men's tennis will back on the courts Monday, April 11 as they take on (18) William Woods in St. Louis at 2:30 PM.
