In their first home game of the year the Spartans came out and won all four quarters in their 88-51 victory over St. Ambrose.
MBU came out firing from the opening tip off as they outscored the Fighting Bees 22-5.
Tyler Butler went 4-5 from the field for eight points in the first frame, and also hauled in four rebounds trailing Amar Mansour who had six rebounds of her own.
The second quarter went similar to the first as a 6-0 run and a 7-0 run aided the Spartans to a 44-17 lead over St. Ambrose at halftime.
At the break the Spartans were shooting 46.2% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc.
Butler was still the leading scorer with eight points trailed by Bryce Dowell with seven.
Aliyah Williams went perfect from the field with two three pointers for the Spartans in the third quarter leading them to a 71-35 lead with a buzzer beater layup at the end of the quarter.
The Spartans continued their success on the court in the fourth quarter as they finished off the game winning by a score of 88-51.
Williams, Butler, and Dowell all finished with double digit points in the victory as Williams led the pack with 15 points.
Mansour, Butler, and T'Laizha Morris all had six rebounds throughout the contest.
MBU finished the game with 52 bench points and 50 points in the paint.
The Spartans next three contests are exhibition matches next week against Southwest Baptist, Drury, and Missouri S&T all on the road.
