CAFOLLA EARNS SECOND AMC PITCHER OF THE WEEK AWARD

ST. LOUIS- After a double header against (25) Saint Xavier University,
Alexandria Cafolla has earned her second American Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week award.
Cafolla was in the circle for game two against the Cougars where she held her opponents to a 0.091 batting average. In the seven innings pitched, the Hazelwood, Mo. native allowed only two hits and zero runs. With the 1-0 win, this is the graduate students second shut out in a row. In the three games Cafolla has pitched this season, she now holds a 0.33 ERA.
Cafolla's pitching contributed to the Spartans third win against a ranked opponent in over 4 seasons.
