SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Missouri Baptist STUNT traveled down to Drury University this past Saturday and Sunday to play in a tournament against Maryville, Texas Women's, Fontbonne and the hosts themselves. The Spartans found two out of four wins.
 
MBU vs. (D2, No. 6) Maryville:
Missouri Baptist University played the Saints first on Saturday. A match not yet faced this season posed slight uncertainty. The two teams cycled through levels successfully, but Maryville ultimately beat MBU out due to cleaner execution of skills. The Spartans fell short to MU by only one point leaving the final score 21-3.
 
MBU vs. (D2, No. 8) Texas Woman's:
MBU STUNT seized redemption going in to their second match of the day against Texas Women's University. MBU's prior encounter with TWU reveal a 15-13 loss. The Barn Owl's held their ground against the Spartans matching their efforts. The game tied at 12-12 and resulted in overtime. Texas Women's received the extra point putting them ahead (13-12).
 
MBU vs. Fontbonne University:
Spartans found themselves on the mat early the following day. A 9:00 a.m. match against Fontbonne University was up for grabs and MBU wasn't shying down. STUNT took the crown shutting out the Griffins 14-0.
 
 MBU vs. Drury University:
Concluding the weekend Missouri Baptist took to the floor against host, Drury University. For the first time in history the Spartans meet the Panthers. Not knowing their skill sets, MBU tested the waters after losing the coin toss and found themselves on the receiving end. Missouri Baptist conquered the game 12-6.
 
Missouri Baptist University STUNT will be back at home this weekend to host their own tournament over the span of two days. Things kick off on Friday March 31^st at 1:00 p.m. and continue into Saturday April 1^st.
