NASHVILLE — Missouri Baptist University STUNT worked extremely hard and displayed an impressive performance at the STUNT the Sport NAIA Division National Tournament this past weekend (April 26-27). 

The Spartans won the first round of the tournament against conference rival Central Methodist University 13-7. They also faced CMU in the second round of the tournament, defeating them this time 13-6. 

In the national championship, MBU battled hard against fierce foe Hope International, but ultimately lost 14-0. 

The Spartans celebrated a successful season, producing a 17-5 record overall and a 4-0 conference record. Sophia Welch earned the honor of being named Cane's Athlete of the Month as well.

They highly anticipate the 2026 season as they train and recruit over the summer.
