St. Louis, Mo.- Missouri Baptist Men's Lacrosse came to a halt on Thursday April 20. at the hands of the Braves during the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship. The Spartans left it on the field as Ottawa University (No. 2 Seed) allowed no opportunity for MBU to find the net.

Missouri Baptist concluded their 2023 season with an overall record of 2-10.
Spartans and the Braves played an even first quarter. OU was the first to score in just 57 seconds. Then, followed up with another goal four minutes later gaining a 2-0 lead on MBU. It wasn't until
Drew Chiodini and Dylan Forebeck evened the tally in the sixth and eighth minute. Freshman, Chiodini adds his seventh goal of the season by blowing past a Braves Defender and tossing it into the back of the net. Forebeck followed suit and scored at the 5:59 minute marker bringing the two teams to a draw.
The second and third quarters resulted in a 14-point lead for Ottawa University as they did not allow the Spartan offense many shot attempts.
Mobap struck back in the fourth quarter popping off four goals to the Brave's three. However, MBU still fell short by 11 resulting in a 17-6 loss.

Two MBU Men's Lacrosse team members were awarded KCAC All-Conference titles. Senior
Tanner Whittemore received First-Team honors and junior goalkeeper,
Ashton Scott, made Second-Team.
Missouri Baptist Men's Lacrosse finalizes their 2023 season as does Trey Whittemore conclude his first season as head coach. The Spartans press forward to their 2024 season next spring. KCAC Championship's continue Saturday April 22. Starting at 1:00 PM.
