HENDERSON, TENN. - In search of their first win of the season the Spartans head South to tackle the Freed-Hardeman two day tournament where they will take on (RV) Freed-Hardeman and Cumberland.

Missouri Baptist University comes into this weekend with an 0-2 record, but have had a tough schedule to start the season. In their season opener, they squared off with Clarke University who went to the NAIA National Tournament last season, and then met up with an undefeated Philander Smith squad, on the road. 

(RV) Freed-Hardeman will be another tough opponent for the Spartans. The Lions are 5-0 on the season with a 4-0 record at home. Their high powered offense scored just over 75 points per game.

On Saturday the Spartans will take on the Cumberland Phoenix at noon, finishing their trip to Tennessee. Cumberland is 1-4 on the fresh season.

The Spartans will look to pick up their first win of the campaign, and the first in the Coach Mendez era at Missouri Baptist.
