The Spartans Wrap Up the Regular Season at #12 Baker

BALDWIN CITY, KAN. - On the road at #12 Baker, the Spartans will finish their best regular season ever as they head into the contest with a 6-3 record.

The Baker Wildcats come into today's contest with an 8-1 (4-1 Heart South) record following a huge road victory at MidAmerica Nazarene. The Wildcats are on a five game winning streak with an undefeated record at home.

Missouri Baptist's six win campaign marks the most wins in a season in program history, previously set at four wins. The Spartans are led by an experienced group on both sides of the ball, and there have been plenty of underclassmen that have stepped up throughout the season.

The last, and only, time these two conference foes have faced off was last season when the Wildcats came to St. Louis, Mo. In that matchup Baker took a two-score lead into the locker rooms at halftime and never looked back on their way to a 41-17 victory. The Wildcat defense forced five interceptions in the contest only leading to one score.

The Spartan defense will have their hands full today as they take on Baker's Truman Juelsgaard, their dual threat quarterback. He leads the team in passing and rushing yards with 15 passing touchdowns and nine rushing touchdowns. The front seven will have to contain his scramble ability while also creating pressure on his pass attempts.

Missouri Baptist University will look to improve their program best six wins to seven as the game is set to kickoff at 1:00 PM, and you can watch the game by visiting https://www.heartconferencenetwork.com/baker/
