Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse | | Amelia Shaw

MBU Outplayed by (6) Reinhardt

WALESKA, Ga. — The Missouri Baptist University men's lacrosse team was taken down by Reinhardt University (6) with a score of 27-2 on Monday (Feb. 12) after 5 days on the road.

RU dominated the game play, spending the majority of the contest in MBU's defensive end.

Ashton Scott faced 54 shots on goal, grabbed three ground balls, and made 14 saves on the game before freshman Garrett Wood stepped into the fourth quarter where he faced 6 more SOG and picked up three GBs, himself.

On defense, Sean Livingston made the most noise, picking up two GBs and causing a turnover on the Eagles.

Freshman Alex Reyes was able to grab a GB and cause a turn over in the midline as well.

Despite the efforts from Missouri Baptist's midfield to transition the ball into the attacking zone, the Spartans did not score a goal until the fourth quarter.

LSM Colin Klaus stood out, recording five GBs and one unassisted goal. Drew Chiodini, MBU's leading scorer as of right now, also recorded a GB and a goal assisted by Joe Busselman.

Caleb Tant helped out on attack as well, grabbing three GBs and causing a turn over on the ride in transition.

The Spartans highly anticipate their next game where they hope to bounce back from this past weekend (Feb. 9-12).
