The Missouri Baptist University men's lacrosse team struggled against Benedictine College's quick transition and stick skills, leading to a 20-2 loss.
The Ravens scored within the first three minutes of the match. They went on a five goal-scoring streak until Caleb Tant assisted Joe Busselman in an impressive goal. After this, Benedictine scored in the last twenty seconds of the quarter.
Starting in the second quarter, BC scored six more goals. In the third quarter, Tant was able to get off another assist, this time to Reece Dotterer. Dotterer buried the ball, trying to get a momentum shift in the 12-1 game.
The Spartans did not score again after this goal. In total, MoBap took 15 shots. \
Ashton Scott made a whopping 20 saves, earning a 50% save percentage. Benedictine took 56 shots.
Tanner Whittemore had a fantastic game, grabbing six ground balls and causing three turnovers. Connor Hickman picked up 4 GBs and caused one turnover. Sean Livingston also grabbed a GB.
The Spartans worked hard, but the final score read 20-2.
They will play again on Friday April 5th at home for their "Senior Day" against Clarke University at 4:00 PM.
