Misic, Stone Claim AMC POTW Honors

ST. LOUIS - After the season opener victory at No. 15 Westcliff, Sergej Misic and Sean Stone were named Players of the Week for the American Midwest Conference.

In the 4-1 upset win on the road in California Misic buried two goals and an assist including the game-winning goal in the 69th minute. Misic's second goal of the game was his second career game winning goal.

Stone brought home his first career win in the net for the Spartans as he made three saves and only allowed one goal giving MBU their first ranked victory since they beat No. 12 Columbia College last September.

This is the first AMC Player of the Week award for Misic and Stone in their careers.
