Rakweon Ramsey Takes on the Trillion Tropical Bowl

ORLANDO, FLA.  - On Sunday, Jan. 19, Missouri Baptist University defensive lineman Rakweon Ramsey suited up his football pads again in the 10th annual Trillion Tropical Bowl.

The Trillion Tropical Bowl is a premier FBS Division I level College Football All-Star Game played in Orlando, Fla., annually in mid-January at Camping World Stadium during Trillion "Bowl Week". The Trillion Tropical Bowl showcases the top college football seniors to NFL scouts and GM's who travel from around the country to the event. The weekend is focused on scouting, teaching, and football.  The Inaugural 2016 game was held at FIU and spent some time at Daytona Municipal Stadium & Spec Martin Stadium before landing in Orlando with the support of Mayor Buddy Dyer, The City of Orlando, Camping World Stadium, and Kissimmee Sports. Over 350 Tropical Bowl alumni have gone on to the NFL since its inception. Trillion Tropical Bowl President & Owner Michael Quartey states "We look forward each year to bringing the best college football players from around the country to Orlando."

The 6-1, 270 lbs defensive end registered one tackle in the contest as he continues to set his sights on professional football after an impressive college career that saw him tally 172 total tackles, 62 tackles for a loss, 32.5 sacks, and five forced fumbles.

In the fall, Ramsey completed his fifth season as a Spartan in which he tallied 17.5 sacks in 10 games for Missouri Baptist. He helped lead the program to a 6-4 record, their best season in program history, and landed on the Heart of America Athletic Conference Second Team.
