ROME, Ga. — Missouri Baptist University's top doubles duo of Sebastian Junghanns and Luca da Silva Ebenriter capped an impressive fall campaign with a top-12 national finish at the 2025 ITA Cup, held Oct. 16–19 at Berry College's Rome Tennis Center.

Competing against the best NAIA tandems in the nation, Junghanns and Ebenriter went 1–2 in the doubles draw, earning a straight-sets victory over regional champions from Our Lady of the Lake University before falling in a pair of tightly contested matches.

The Spartan pair opened play Thursday in the Round of 16 against Arizona Christian's Hugo Abril and Lennert Lemahieu, dropping a narrow 7-6 (2), 6-4 decision. They bounced back the following day with a 6-4, 7-6 (5) win over Jaroslav Majsajdr and Joao Santos of Our Lady of the Lake—another regional-title team—to advance in consolation play.

On Saturday, Junghanns and Ebenriter closed their run with a 6-2, 7-6 (3) loss to Huntington's Julian Tantera and Francisco Javier López Real, finishing among the top 12 doubles teams in the nation.

The appearance marked Missouri Baptist's second all-time showing at the ITA Cup and the first for Junghanns, while Ebenriter returned for his second career appearance. The senior previously reached the national semifinals in 2023 alongside former partner Dragan Omcikus, finishing in the top four.

Junghanns and Ebenriter conclude the fall season with a combined 24-7 record since pairing up last spring after capturing the ITA NAIA Central-East Regional Doubles Championship earlier this fall.
