ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Missouri Baptist University women's basketball team is set to open its season with a matchup against the Williams Baptist University Eagles on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 5:30 p.m., followed by a contest against the University of Missouri – Kansas City Roos on Friday at 6 p.m.
The Spartans and Eagles have met 40 times in program history, with Williams Baptist holding a narrow edge in the series, 22–18. Last season, the Eagles finished with an impressive 28–5 overall record, while the Spartans posted a 9–20 mark.
The matchup against the University of Missouri–Kansas City will mark the first meeting in program history, as UMKC competes at the NCAA Division I level. The Roos finished last season with an 11–22 overall record and a 6–10 mark in conference play.
