Spartans Hit the Road to Face Columbia Before Home Opener Against Clarke

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The Missouri Baptist University women's basketball team is back on the road Wednesday, Nov. 12, for a 5:30 p.m. matchup against (RV) Columbia College (Mo.). The Spartans will then return home for their home opener against Clarke University on Saturday, Nov. 15, at noon. 

Missouri Baptist University has met Columbia College (Mo.) 43 times in program history, with the Cougars holding a 41–2 advantage in the all-time series. The Spartans' most recent victory came on February 5, 2022. Columbia enters the matchup with a 3-0 record and currently holds a .491 field goal percentage, while the Spartans excel at the free-throw line, shooting .744 on the season.

Missouri Baptist University has faced Clarke University just once in program history, meeting last season in 2024. The Spartans fell 51-40 at home but remained competitive with the Pride until the fourth quarter. Clarke enters the upcoming matchup with a 3-1 overall record and has yet to begin conference play. So far this season, the Pride are averaging 73.0 points per game, while the Spartans sit at 67.0 points per game, setting the stage for a competitive matchup.
