Gabi Jakubowska and Valentina Navarro were named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Attacker and Setter of the Week after helping No. 17 Missouri Baptist University to a 3-0 week.
 
Jakubowska, a senior from Katowice, Poland, logged 5.75 kills per set over three matches and hit .316 with 69 kills on 136 attacks. She had a career-high 33 kills to go along with 18 digs in Saturday night's five-set win over Park University. On Tuesday, Oct. 28, she sent down 23 kills at William Woods University and followed up on Friday afternoon with 13 kills in a sweep over No. 25 MidAmerica Nazarene University.
 
The freshman setter Navarro guided the offense with 11.67 assists per set over the three games and 2.08 digs per set. In the four-set win at WWU, Navarro had 55 assists, and followed up with 36 against MNU and 49 against Park.
 
The Spartans wrapped up the regular season with a share of the Heart Regular Season Championship and will turn their attention to the Heart Quarterfinals against William Woods. The opening serve in the Carl & Deloris Petty SRC is set for Saturday, Nov. 8, at 1 p.m.
