ST. LOUIS – No. 17 Missouri Baptist University women's volleyball is set to host William Woods University for the Heart of America Athletic Conference Quarterfinals on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 1 p.m. The Spartans earned the No. 2 seed in the tournament and open the postseason against the seventh-seeded Owls.

Claire Ochs' squad comes into the matchup on an 11-game winning streak and as the Heart Regular Season Co-Champions at 17-1 in conference play.
Over the winning streak, MBU is hitting .263 with 13.62 kills per set, 12.62 assists per set, 6.9 blocks per game, and 2.7 aces per set. Senior
Gabi Jakubowska has been on fire in that span, hitting .259 with 4.08 kills per set.
Allana Capella has also chipped in a .269 percentage and 3.62 K/S, while
Valentina Navarro has guided the offense with 10.6 assists per set.
Additionally, Fernanda Perni is currently first in the Heart with 1.26 blocks per set this season and 13
th overall in the NAIA.
The Owls enter Saturday afternoon's match at 19-11 overall and 10-8 in the conference. They finished their final four conference games at 2-2 with wins over Benedictine College and a sweep of No. 25 MidAmerica Nazarene University on the final day of the regular season.
The Spartans have defeated William Woods twice this season, taking six of seven sets against them. MBU is hitting .265 against WWU, while holding them to a .165 percentage.
Valentina Navarro and
Tiia Heikkinen have also combined for 10 aces across the two wins.
