SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Missouri Baptist University women's volleyball earned the 12
th seed in the NAIA National Tournament and will begin Pool Play in Pool E against the 20th-seed University of Mobile and the fifth-seed Corban University.
The Spartans take on the Rams on Thursday, Dec. 4, at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa, at 10 a.m., followed by their second meeting this season with the fifth-seeded Warriors at 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 5.

MBU enters the national final site as the Heart of America Athletic Conference Regular Season and Tournament Champions, going 17-1 in conference play, which was tied for the top mark with Grand View University, and lost just one set in the tournament. They then hosted Dillard University (La.) in the NAIA Opening Round, sweeping them with a .330 hitting percentage.
The University of Mobile enters its Wednesday match with Corban University at 30-3 overall and went 14-2 in the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC). The Rams had a 17-game winning streak snapped in the SSAC Tournament Championship after a four-set loss to Loyola University (La.). They rebounded in the NAIA Opening Round with a four-set road win at Marian University (Ind.).
Corban University went 25-5 overall and 17-3 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC), rattling off 12 wins against ranked opponents before falling in the CCC Conference Championship match to the top-ranked team in the nation, Eastern Oregon University, in straight sets.
The Spartans are 1-1 all-time against Mobile, winning the most recent bout in the 2023 NAIA Opening Round with a sweep. MBU took down Corban when they were ranked third in the nation this season on Aug. 22.
Gabi Jakubowska and
Allana Capella combined for 37 kills in a five-set victory. All-time, MBU trails 1-2 in the series against Corban.
