ST. LOUIS — Despite the power outages and venue change due to bad weather conditions, Missouri Baptist University STUNT looked electric in their games against Central Methodist University, Maryville University, and Missouri Valley College. MBU was able to win two out of the three games.
Central Methodist
Missouri Baptist displayed an excellent performance against conference rival CMU, beating them 14-2.
Usual suspects Kiley Roth and Sophia Welch led the team in points with 16 in this game. Grace Ketterer also shined, scoring a 16 as well. Vashti Altheide followed close behind with 15. The ratings for this game are not available.
Maryville
MBU fell to MU 20-9. The Division II program proved to be fierce competition.
Despite the final score, some Missouri Baptist individuals recorded high marks against the Saints. Welch scored the highest with 18. Roth and Kylie Lamb each scored 15, and Ketterer (14), Altheide (15), and Ciara Mallqui-Thomas (16) followed. The ratings for this game are not available.
Missouri Valley College
Ending the tournament on a high note, the Spartans beat another conference rival, MVC, 20-3.
MBU scored a lot of individual points in this match. Roth and Welch tied their scores with 17. Ketterer and London Joy were just one point behind with 16.
MBU STUNT heads to Drury University on Saturday (April 5) to compete in a two day tournament against both conference and non conference teams.
