MARSHALL, Mo. — On Wednesday (March 19), the eighth-ranked Missouri Baptist University women's lacrosse team picked up a big win against Heart of America Conference opponent, Missouri Valley College.
Led by eight points from Mack Miller, Missouri Baptist dominated offensively. Miller also scored the first goal of the game within three minutes of the first draw.
After MBU controlled the draw again with ease, Miller scored another one off an assist from Kiersten Lang. Delaney Pechnik also snuck two goals in before the end of the period, one of the goals being assisted by Miller.
At the beginning of the second quarter, the Vikings were able to break through Missouri Baptist's defense, finally putting a point on the board.
The Spartans responded by going on a six-goal run that bled into the second half. These goals were scored by:
Missouri Valley broke the Spartans' scoring streak, making the score 10-2 with about nine minutes to go in the third period.
MVC's goal did not slow down MBU, who went on to score seven more before the end of the contest. The goals were scored in the following order:

Missouri Valley managed to score one more goal before the end of the game, bringing the final score to 17-3.
