ST. LOUIS — The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced that 27 Missouri Baptist University student-athletes earned the academic achievement of Heart Scholar-Athlete on Monday, July 28.
The Heart Scholar-Athlete award is an accolade that requires a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), a minimum of 60 credit hours, at least five semesters and attended the nominating institution for at least two semesters prior to being nominated, and have documentation of the student-athlete participating in a varsity competition in the sport for which they are being nominated for. Graduate students who are competing are also eligible for this award.
Missouri Baptist student-athletes were able to earn this award across seven different sports including football, women's bowling, women's tennis, men's tennis, men's volleyball, men's lacrosse, and women's lacrosse.
