No. 19  Missouri Baptist University volleyball won two more Heart of America Athletic Conference weekly awards, with Valentina Navarro named Setter of the Week and Fernanda Perini honored as Defender of the Week, presented by Tarkett Sports.

Navarro, a freshman from Spain, directed the Spartan offense with 175 assists across four matches, averaging 11.67 assists per set. She tallied 52 assists in a four-set win over (RV) Indiana Tech University, added 58 against (RV) Taylor University, and finished with 38 in a sweep of No. 14 Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Navarro also contributed five kills, 31 digs (2.07 D/S), and three blocks on the weekend.

Perini, a sophomore from Caxias do Sul, Brazil, anchored MBU's defense at the net with 20 blocks, averaging 1.33 per set. She recorded seven blocks in a five-set contest against (RV) Taylor and six more in the victory over (RV) Indiana Tech. Perini additionally finished the weekend with 30 kills on .381 hitting.

The duo helped MBU volleyball to a 3-1 record, including their fourth win over a team ranked in the top-20 this season.
