ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Baptist University women's basketball team heads out on the road this week for a pair of conference matchups, opening a two-game swing away from home on Wednesday before returning to action Saturday.
Wednesday's contest marks the first of two league tests for Missouri Valley College, which looks to continue building momentum in conference play. They are currently 9-3 in conference. The matchup will present an early challenge for the Spartans, as road games have traditionally required strong defensive discipline and efficient execution on both ends of the floor.
The week continues Saturday with another conference battle, closing out the road trip against MidAmerica Nazarene University. This second matchup will test the team's depth and consistency following a quick turnaround, as MNU is currently 11-1 in conference. They are averaging 70 points per game.
The Spartans will enter the week focused on controlling tempo from the free throw line, limiting turnovers, and winning key rebounding battles, areas that often prove decisive in conference road games.
Both contests are scheduled to tip off on the road, with Wednesday's game at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday's matchup at noon.
