ST. LOUIS – Missouri Baptist University earned a clean-sweep victory Saturday evening, defeating St. Ambrose University 25–21, 25–23, 28–26 at the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy, improving to 5–1 on the season.

Justin McGary led the Spartans with 14 kills while hitting .292. Isaac Allgeyer added 13 kills and two service aces. The team ended the match hitting .286, controlling the tempo throughout the night.

In set one, MBU took control early in the opening set, using a balanced attack to build momentum. The Spartans pulled away late behind clutch kills from McGary and Allgeyer, closing the set on a short run to secure a 25–21 win.

The second set remained tight throughout, with the Fighting Bees responding with efficient offense. Missouri Baptist answered with strong net play and timely points from Aj Tufuga and Luka Stepanovic. The Spartans capitalized on late Ambrose errors to close out the set 25–23.

The final set turned into a back-and-forth battle that had multiple lead changes. The Spartans stayed composed in the closing moments as Allgeyer and McGary delivered key kills down the stretch. MBU closed the match with a 28–26 win to secure the sweep.
