ST. LOUIS — Missouri Baptist University men's and women's tennis earned a pair of home victories Saturday night as the Spartans defeated Judson University in both matches at Vetta West Racquet Sports.
The MBU men opened the 2026 dual season with a 5–2 victory, improving to 3–0 on the year, while the women followed with a tightly contested 4–3 win to move to 2–2 overall.
On the men's side, Missouri Baptist secured the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 before closing out the match with four singles victories. Luca da Silva Ebenriter earned a straight-set win at No. 1 singles, while Strahinja Radanovic, Ruslan Anurev and Arkhip Tokmakov each added singles victories to clinch the match.
The women's match came down to singles play after the teams split the doubles point. Missouri Baptist earned singles wins at No. 4 and No. 5 to keep the contest close before Melissa Jangarasheva delivered a straight-set victory at No. 4 singles, helping secure the decisive fourth point.
The men's team returns to action Saturday, Feb. 7, traveling to Quincy University for a 2 p.m. match. The women will host Maryville University on Friday, Feb. 13, with first serve scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Vetta West Racquet Sports.
