MBU Men's Volleyball Hit .481 in Sweep, Roll to 2-0 Road Day

MCPHERSON/SALINA, KAN. – Missouri Baptist University men's volleyball earned a pair of road victories Friday, sweeping Central Christian College before defeating Kansas Wesleyan University in four sets to close the day.

Isaac Allgeyer led the Spartans across both matches, totaling 25 kills on the day. The outside hitter posted 11 kills in the sweep over Central Christian and added 14 more against Kansas Wesleyan, consistently powering the Missouri Baptist offense.

GAME 1: Missouri Baptist vs. Central Christian (Kan.)

MBU opened the day with a dominant three-set victory over the Tigers, winning 25–18, 25–22, 25–13.

The Spartans hit an efficient .481 as a team, highlighted by Allgeyer's .714 hitting percentage with 11 kills, one error. Luka Stepanovic added 11 kills on a .562 clip, while AJ Tufuga contributed eight kills and two block assists. Axel Griguer directed the offense with 20 assists as Missouri Baptist controlled the match from start to finish.

After a competitive second set, the Spartans surged ahead in the third, racing out to an early lead and never looking back to complete the sweep.

GAME 2: Missouri Baptist vs. Kansas Wesleyan

In the second match of the day, MBU claimed a four-set victory over the Coyotes, 25–21, 25–19, 23–25, 25–23.

Allgeyer once again paced the Spartans with 14 kills, while Nikos Faoutas and Jonathan Kreke each added 11. Tufuga finished with 10 kills and four total blocks, and Griguer dished out 28 assists in the win.

Missouri Baptist hit .248 as a team and totaled 59 kills in the match. After dropping a narrow third set, the Spartans responded in the fourth, using a balanced offensive attack to secure the road win.

The Spartans continue on the road for tomorrow's match against Ottawa University. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
