ST. LOUIS — Missouri Baptist University men's tennis continued its dominant start to the season with a 7–0 sweep of Missouri Valley College on Saturday evening at Vetta West Racquet Sports.

The win moves the Spartans to 6–0 overall, while the Vikings fall to 1–4 on the year.

Missouri Baptist controlled the match from the outset, sweeping all three doubles contests to secure the opening point. At No. 1 doubles, Luca Ebenriter and Sebastian Junghanns earned a 6–3 victory. Ruslan Anurev and Strahinja Radanovic followed with a 6–2 win at No. 2, and Omar Farahat and Arkhip Tokmakov completed the sweep with a 6–1 triumph at No. 3.

Carrying a 1–0 lead into singles play, the Spartans did not drop a set across the lineup.

Ebenriter set the tone at No. 1 singles with a commanding 6–0, 6–0 victory. Radanovic followed with a 6–0, 6–2 win at No. 2, while Anurev posted a 6–2, 6–2 decision at No. 3.

Tokmakov earned a 6–0, 6–0 shutout at No. 4, Farahat added a 6–2, 6–4 win at No. 5, and Samuel Sanchez capped the evening with a 6–3, 6–2 victory at No. 6 to complete the 7–0 sweep.

Missouri Baptist returns to action Thursday, Feb. 26, traveling to Jonesboro, Ark., for a 12:30 p.m. matchup against Texas A&M–Texarkana.
