ST. LOUIS — Missouri Baptist University men's and women's tennis hosted Morningside University on Friday at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center, with both Spartan squads falling by identical 6–1 scores.

On the men's side, Missouri Baptist earned the doubles point with a victory at the No. 1 position. Luca da Silva Ebenriter and Sebastian Junghanns teamed up for a 6–3 win over Alexis Diaz and M. Menendez Hervella. Morningside responded by claiming the remaining two doubles matches and went on to secure the team victory with five singles wins.

Nicolas Sanchez provided the lone point for the Spartans in singles play, rallying for a hard-fought 6–7, 6–4, 11–9 victory at No. 6 singles. Strahinja Radanovic also pushed his match to a third-set tiebreak at No. 3 before falling 7–6, 3–6, 10–5.

In the women's match, Missouri Baptist split the doubles courts but Morningside secured the point by winning two of the three matches. Mariana Azevedo and Lucia Rubio earned the Spartans' doubles victory with a 6–4 win at the No. 2 position.

Azevedo also delivered Missouri Baptist's lone singles point of the match, posting a straight-set 6–4, 6–4 victory at No. 6 singles. The Mustangs claimed the remaining five singles matches to seal the 6–1 team result.
