OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Missouri Baptist University men's tennis standout Ruslan Anurev has been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday, following his strong performances in a pair of ranked road victories.

Anurev played a key role in leading the Spartans to wins over No. 17 William Woods (6–1) and No. 18 Oakland City (4–2), posting a perfect 2–0 record in both singles and doubles competition.

Competing at No. 4 singles, Anurev earned a 7–5, 6–2 victory against William Woods before battling to a three-set win (6–4, 2–6, 7–5) over Oakland City.

He also went 2–0 at No. 3 doubles, securing a 7–5 win against William Woods and a 7–6 victory against Oakland City to help the Spartans claim the doubles point in both matches.

The honor marks the first Heart Player of the Week selection of the season for Anurev and recognizes his contributions in two key ranked wins for Missouri Baptist.
